The Social Cooperative „Together for the Environment” was established on 17.10.2019 by the Municipality of Ostrowite and the Municipality of Powidz. The main goal of the initiative group, was to create an inter-municipal entity that will carry out tasks in the field of municipal waste management, at the same time allowing social activation of citizens of both municipalities.
Work on the establishment of the Cooperative began in 2018.
During a number of working meetings, a thorough economic and technical analysis of the whole project was carried out, assessing the resource and capital potential at hand, as well as evaluating all the risks that could affect the success of the entire project.
At the same time, work began on raising funds, to finance the whole project.
Cooperation was established with the Association for Social Cooperatives, with which we began incubation activities under the Wielkopolska Social Economy Center Sub-measure 7.3.2 Social Economy of the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Program. Thanks to the incubation activities was obtained 235,000.00 PLN net and financial support and 108,000.00 PLN bridging support.. From the financial support were purchased the necessary equipment to provide services at the highest level.
